About Their Birth Journey With Me
“Harmony was an integral part of our son's birth. Her presence and knowledge on the day of delivery helped to make our delivery a smooth and positive experience.”
— Carla G.
Harmony was phenomenal in providing constant support and encouragement, and comfort measures. Her knowledge of the birth process was very helpful, and her calm demeanor and humor were the perfect balance for me. Harmony was a fantastic addition to my birth team.

“Harmony was very helpful when I was nursing my second son. Harmony came to my home with all the tools she needed to provide comprehensive lactation services. She helped with everything from latch to checking the baby for weight gain. In one quick session she built up my confidence and verified the baby was eating well and growing. Her help was much appreciated because the baby was born at the end of the Covid pandemic and I wasn’t comfortable leaving my home with the baby. Harmony took all the public health precautions to make sure we were all safe and comfortable. Harmony is a knowledgeable, passionate, compassionate professional who I am sure can help you with all your birthing needs.”

Harmony is the best!! As first time parents we were so grateful to have her support and expertise through the prenatal, labor/delivery and postpartum experience. She made us feel so comfortable. The prenatal classes were well timed and informative. Her support through the labor and delivery process were essential, she helped us navigate and make informed choices. Her advice helped us successfully deliver our baby! We could not recommend working with Harmony enough.

When I decided that I was going to have an unmedicated birth I knew I was going to need a lot of support, so I started looking for a doula. Hiring Harmony was definitely one of the best decisions I made. She provided 2 prenatal classes throughout my pregnancy that were both super helpful and made me feel educated about the birth process. During my labor, she was supportive and enabled me to have the unmedicated birth that I really wanted. Thanks Harmony!

Harmony was such a warm and welcome presence during the birth of my second son on 4/4/24. She was a wealth of knowledge throughout my entire pregnancy and was always a call or text away with any questions or concerns. She helped me find a new OB as my previous experience with my old OB was not the best. She offered classes to help us create a birth plan, educate my husband and I on difference ways to make our birth experience the way we wanted it. When my son was breech and not turning she provided information and hands on instruction on how to perform the spinning babies techniques to help baby turn on his own. She also provided information on ECV as well as plenty of emotional support as I was having difficulties with the possibility of needing a C-section. At 37 weeks I needed to have a C-section due to gestational hypertension and harmony helped me come to terms with this and help it feel like it was my decision and what was right/safest for my baby. We were able to make the C-section birth experience beautiful and having harmony in the OR with my husband and I was a wonderful welcoming experiencing and allowed us to have a great birth experience as calm as possible. I was able to see my son born with the clear drape and have skin to skin as soon as the nicu team cleared him immediately post birth. I would definitely recommend harmony to anyone who is looking to have a wonderful experience with their birth regardless of how they end up delivering. If I end up having another child I will definitely be using harmony again!

I was determined to have an unmedicated birth, but knew it was going to be a challenge delivering in a hospital with an OB practice. Luckily, I met with Harmony, and immediately felt at ease. Not only was she kind and down to earth, but she was full of knowledge.
Once we began working with each other, she helped my husband and I prepare for labor with tons of informational resources, labor positions, and pain management tips.
I'm happy to share that with her help and support, I was able to give birth to our beautiful daughter, completely unmedicated. I would recommend Harmony to anyone looking for doula support, especially if having a natural, unmedicated birth is important to you. Thank you for everything! 🩷

My husband and I knew we wanted a doula to provide us with an extra level of support during our pregnancy and delivery. Harmony made us feel comfortable with her knowledge and easy-going personality from our first conversation. Our meetings during pregnancy were incredibly helpful in providing information about the labor process and allowing us to think through what we wanted in labor and delivery. Harmony was instrumental to have at the hospital during labor. She guided us through different positions and movements and she was such a calming influence to keep me relaxed. She made sure we had all the information we needed, so that we could make informed decisions. She was then 100% supportive of whatever decisions we made. Harmony was also the ultimate cheerleader during labor and when I was pushing. Her energy throughout the whole process was exactly what we needed. Having Harmony as our doula made the experience that much more special. We would absolutely recommend her to anyone.

I met Harmony by chance, and I’m so glad I did. My labor was not an easy one, but Harmony was there for me every step of the way. She shared tons of material and knowledge that made me feel confident and prepared. From silly questions and first contractions, to guiding me through a 43 hour labor, Harmony allowed me to dream the birth experience I wanted with her and ensured it was as close to what I had envisioned as possible — even when things didn’t go to plan. My baby was nearly 10 lbs. and in OP position, making for a very long and painful labor characterized by back labor and stalled progress. Not once did Harmony question if I could do it. Not once did she insist on medication or interventions I didn’t want.
When interventions started creeping in, she stepped in to echo my voice when I was exhausted. Through everything, she looked to me to make sure every decision was my own and asked the questions that I was too tired to even think of. Harmony stayed with me for 24 hours while I labored in the birth room: helping me in the tub, consistently changing positions throughout my contractions, breathing with me, encouraging me and reminding me of my strength. She was my voice when I was tired, my strength when I questioned my own, my cheerleader and my advocate during medical interventions when I felt defeated and my husband was scared. If you’re looking for someone to guide you through a natural birth, someone with a gentle and reassuring presence, but firm when needed — hire Harmony. Harmony truly turned a challenging birth into one that was powerful and beautiful, even through its hardest moments. Harmony supported me through some of the toughest hours of my life and I am eternally grateful to have had experienced that with her. Her passion, knowledge and comfort is invaluable. There was so much love in that room. I would recommend her to anyone looking for support on their birth journey.

Harmony's assistance was invaluable to us during my pregnancy, labor, delivery, and post partum. She helped me to understand a lot of the processes both that my body would go through and that the medical system would put me through, which was incredibly helpful in making more informed decisions and planning for what would be an unorthodox birth. Harmony helped me flesh out my birth plan more completely, which helped me to feel more in control when the time came to make medical decisions. Additionally, she was there through a significant portion of my LONG labor and assisted not only with that process, but also with providing support to my teenage daughter, who was present for labor and who experienced some anxiety because of it. She video called with me in the hospital during my recovery to help me navigate caring for my babies and preparing for breastfeeding despite their need for NICU treatment. Harmony went above and beyond to connect me with someone who could help me with the challenges of breastfeeding twins when I struggled post-partum. We truly cannot imagine what this process would've looked like without her and would (and already have!) recommended her highly to friends and family!

This was my first child/birth, and the pregnancy was unexpected. I had so much anxiety around the entire process, but Harmony made it so much easier for me due to her education and support. She listened to what I wanted and helped me achieve as close to that as possible, given the circumstances of my labor. I had to deviate from my original birth plan by being induced then needing an epidural (two things I did not want). Harmony helped me advocate for myself to ensure I was still in control of my birth. Not to mention, she helped me cope with the intensity of the induction.

Harmony was instrumental in our home birth. Not only was she supportive (both physically and mentally) but she was SO attentive. Throughout the entire labor, Harmony would anticipate every need of mine and my husband’s like getting us food/drink and helping coach us through different positions. In between the beautiful chaos, she was capturing pictures of every phase of labor for us to look back on. She truly went above and beyond in every aspect!! We couldn’t have done it without her there!

From our first zoom meeting with Harmony to our final at home check up with our son, Emeric, we knew Harmony was meant to be apart of the birth of our son and would continue to be in our life as a friend. Right from the beginning, after our first meet, before we even told Harmony we wanted her as our doula she was sending us information and recommendations. Our journey with Harmony as our doula was beyond our expectations, from having her available to us 24/7 to answer text, calls, emails to the powerpoints she gave us and then the two meet ups with her. She is so informative and even if she is unsure of something she allows triple checks, but most importantly, you can feel the passion she has for her job and for the moms to be. Even with 28 hours of laboring, and a hospital stay Harmony was always there with us, we couldn’t of imagined or birthed our baby boy without her. Thank you for everything Harmony, who we now call our friend.
